Diezani had been billed to travel to the UK next week Tuesday according to a source, however upon learning that Buhari was traveling to London, she asked the airline to book her on the same flight as Buhari so that she could have a chance to discuss directly with the President-Elect. The British Airways flight departed Abuja this morning at 9:00am Nigerian time.
Several aides and close associates of Buhari said they were surprised to learn of the trip since they were with him till 7PM last night shortly after he arrived from his hometown, Duara.
A family source told SaharaReporters that Buhari was traveling to London for the weekend and is expected back in Nigeria on Tuesday in time for the swearing in ceremonies.

Fifa Presidency: Van Praag Steps Down From Race
DUTCH Football Association President, Michael Van Praag, has stepped down from the race for the Fifa Presidency.
He took the action to support Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein’s bid in an effort to oust long time Fifa President Sepp Blatter.
Just eight days before May 29′s election, the Dutch FA (KNVB) chief backed out of the race to run world football’s governing body.
He is expected to elaborate on his decision at a press conference on Thursday, May 21, 2015.
“Michael van Praag has decided, after long consideration with stakeholders and third parties that he withdraw his candidacy for the Fifa presidency,” the KNVB said in a statement. “He will support the bid of Prince Ali Al Hussein now.
“An explanation on his decision will be held during an international press conference in Amsterdam.
“Michael van Praag will give his explanation on his decision and Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein will speak as well.”
Van Praag’s decision to stand aside is believed to be an attempt to unite opposition against Blatter, who is said to be unpopular among football fans and has presided over a Fifa that gave World Cup hosting rights to Russia and Qatar amid corruption and bribery claims.
Despite the negative publicity surrounding the reigning Fifa chief, the Swiss is expected to stay in power unless there is a seismic shift in the week leading up the election.
Van Praag hopes that by backing of Jordan’s Prince Ali bin-Hussein, he will help to pool for votes against Blatter, though some FAs are still set to vote for third candidate, Luis Figo.
Blatter has been in charge of Fifa since 1998 and had promised to make this current term his last, before debunking the statement to announce his intention to run for a fifth time.
CNPP disagrees with Blair on free market economy, removal of fuel subsidy
Rising from an emergency meeting at Enugu on the theme – Nigeria the way forward – bearing in mind the incoming General Muhammadu Buhari (GMB)’s administration and the dislocated economy, the Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) said it disagrees with some postulations on how to fix Nigeria, especially the free market axis chorused by former British Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
‘Our fear is that those who propound the nebulous economic policy that government has no business in business: which simulated pervasive corruption, created huge inequality gap and pauperised our people are at it again. For us in the CNPP, what they call business is what we call critical infrastructure, which is the soul of our development.’
In his speech at the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s seminar titled – Implementing Change from Vision to Reality – Mr Blair urged GMB, to ‘Take advantage of that goodwill that comes with being elected to take difficult decisions that may inflict immediate pain, but in the long-term interest the country and government’.
